The Type 1 Tesla SAE J1772 adapter will allow you to charge any Tesla Model 3, S or X with a Type 1 (J1772) charging plug. Compatible with most public mode 2 charging stations, the J1772 adapter supports charging speeds up to 19.2 kW.
The product has a nice appearance, ergonomic hand-held design and is easy to connect. It’s small, perfect for travel and easy to store. Complete with a handy shopping bag. It is made of thermoplastic material and has an IP54 degree of protection. This means that it is protected against dust and water splashes from any direction.
How to use Tesla SAE J1772 type 1 adapter:
We recommend the following steps:
1. Connect the end of the Type 1 adapter to the charging cable
2. Connect the end of the Type 1 Tesla SAE J1772 adapter to the car’s charging socket
3. After snapping the adapter, you can start charging*
*Don’t forget to activate the charging station
When charging is complete, disconnect the vehicle side first and then the charging station side. Remove the cable from the charging station when not in use.
How to store:
This product is an important component of your electric vehicle and should therefore be properly protected. Store it in a dry place, preferably in a storage pouch. Moisture in the contacts will cause the cable to fail. If this happens, place the product in a warm and dry place for 24 hours. Avoid leaving the adapter outdoors where it will be exposed to direct sunlight, wind, dust and rain. Dust and dirt will cause the cable to not work properly. The product is very easy to use and store.
Safety Notes:
- Always check the cable, adapter and pins for damage and contamination before use.
- Never use a damaged product to charge.
- Never use contacts that are dirty or wet.
- Only connect the charger to vehicle and infrastructure sockets that are protected against water, moisture and liquids.
- Never use force to disconnect plugs. Hazardous arcs can cause serious injury or death.
- There are electric vehicles that can be started with a cable connected. Always remember to disconnect it before leaving.
- If there is smoke coming out of the connector, never touch it. If possible, stop the charging process. In any case, press the emergency switch on the charging station.
- Make sure the cable is out of the reach of children. It can only be used by people with a valid driving license for motor vehicles.
